Not camp, rented house of members: NSCN(R) clarifies

Dimapur, June 22 (MExN): Following reports of an ‘unauthorized mobile camp’ of the NSCN (R) being sealed by the Dimapur Police, the NSCN (R) on Tuesday clarified that “it is in no way a camp/office but a rented house of some NSCN (R) members residing with their families.” Refuting the allegation of the unauthorized camp being operated at Padumpukhukri, the NSCN (R) through its MIP on June 22 stated that as is evident in the pictures uploaded on social media, anyone can physically verify whether the area/place/condition of the same is feasible to run an office, let alone holding a camp. Rather, it alleged that the “inappropriate and unprecedented move” to seal the rented house has caused much trauma and undue sufferings to the wives and minor children of the cadres. In this regard, the NSCN (R) asked the Police to “immediately unseal the house.” “…if not by ‘Grace’ but at least through ‘Humanity’ allow the aggrieved wives, children and family members to collect their clothing, schoolbooks, kitchen utensils and other essential belongings (under seal),” the NSCN (R) stated.
