Now ‘aggrieved English candidates’ float demands

Dimapur, July 27 (MExN): More ‘aggrieved teachers’ are surfacing with grievances against the Education department. This time a group calling itself the “Dimapur aggrieved candidates of graduate teachers (English)” protested what it alleged is manipulation and “injustice to English honours students.” According to the “Dimapur aggrieved candidates of graduate teachers (English)” there is enough evidence to prove “several anomalies in the examination” conducted recently by the Education department.

The ‘aggrieved English teachers candidates’ issued a note today stating to have met on July 27. “Various issues relating to ostensible manipulation in the interview, injustice to English honours students by selecting non-English honours students etc were discussed. The aggrieved candidates having enough evidence to prove several anomalies in the examination conducted by the department have decided to take up the case in the appropriate forum for which an ad-hoc committee was formed to carry forward the issue till justice is delivered,” the group stated in one length.

The committee has been named as “Ad-hoc Committee of Aggrieved Candidates Graduate Teachers (English) 2012 Dimapur,” stated the group.

The candidates have demanded cancellation of “oral interview” conducted for graduate teachers (English) in Dimapur as well as ‘removal of selected candidates who do not major in English subject.’

The group has also demanded “to know the criteria for marking in interview.”

The committee has informed “all Dimapur candidates (English major)” who cleared the GT written examination to contact the number 9615716629 for more information.

“Another meeting will be called to discuss and plan on how to take the case forward,” the note added.
