Kohima, October 27 (MExN): The NPCC, in a press release, has condemned the “irresponsible statement” of Küzholüzo (Azo) Nienu, Minister for Health & Family Welfare who said that, “in the event of State election 2013 taking place as scheduled, NPF would return to power”. Since the JLF resolution was for Naga political solution before the 2013 state general election, the NPCC thinks that any legislator talking about election at this juncture is breach of privilege of the joint effort. “Talking about solution on one side and election on the other side showed that the NPF legislators are not serious and sincere on JLF resolution. The least the Naga people expect from the legislators is to resign en-mass in the event JLF resolution is not honored by the negotiating parties before the notification of the election,” said NPCC’s press release.
Alleging that the NPF is trying to claim “full credit” for an Indo-Naga solution, the NPCC said “the statement that NPF would accept it if an honorable and acceptable solution is arrived at, clearly exposed that NPF is deceitfully trying to claim full credit if it is good but share the blame with the CLP if it is bad”.
Adding that no matter how hard the NPF tries, it cannot undo the “ten years of misrule”, the NPCC said that “NPF is trying to consolidate its position by playing the card of JLF resolution knowing that NPF is not coming back to power should election be held as scheduled” and that Nienu can “conveniently forget about his party returning to power or himself getting re-elected”.
Pointing out that NPF should keep tab on its “media crazy minister”, also known more as “Chief Guest Minister” than Minister for Health and Family Welfare, the NPCC said that there is public responsibility for what is spoken as minister, not as an individual.
