
KOHIMA, February 7 (MExN): The NPF Manipur State Unit held a Party Ticket Distribution-cum-Oath Taking ceremony for the 11th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2017 on Tuesday, February 7 at Asufü, Mao Gate.
Addressing the large gathering, NPF President Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu informed that 39 applications were received for the 15 seats the party was contesting in.
Minister (Nagaland) and in-charge NPF Manipur State Unit, Yitachu, and the Rajya Sabha MP KG Kenye, who is also the Secretary General of the party also addressed the gathering.
“We come for the development, peace and prosperity of the state. We don’t come with any hidden agenda,” Kenye said.
The 15 NPF candidates are the following: 40th Jiribam A/C - Mathiudin Kamei; 41 Chandel - ST Victor Nunglung; 42Tengnoupal - Kh. Armstrong Charanga; 43 Phungyar - K. Leishiy; 44 Ukhrul - Samuel Risom; 45 Chingai - Khashim Vashum; 46 Saikul - M. Thangboi Haokip; 47 Karong - Dr V. Alexander Pao; 48 Mao - L. Dikho; 49 Tadubi - K. Raina; 50 Kangkokpi - L.K. Chongloi; 51 Saitu - Sehpu Haokip; 52 Tamei - Awangbow Newmai; 53 Tamenlong - Janghemlung Panmei and 57Henglep - Thongjamlen Haokip. Following the handing over of tickets, Pastor Pudunamei Baptist Church and former General Secretary of the Manipur Baptist Convention, Rev S.K. Hockey blessed the candidates.
