Kohima, September 26 (MExN): The Naga People's Front (NPF) Meluri Division held its Coordination Meeting on September 26 at Meluri Village Council Hall.
The meeting was attended by Division office bearers and its frontal wing, COBs and its frontal wings from Meluri Division, Meluri Town Councillors, unit representatives and village leaders.
The meeting witnessed an extensive deliberations and discussions on strengthening the party and charting the way forward.
Various speakers addressed the meeting and emphasised the importance of coordination and grassroots engagement, maintaining unity, and fostering greater understanding among party workers.
They also underscored the importance of party ideology and principles and encouraged members to remain committed to party discipline and to work towards strengthening the party at all levels.
The meeting adopted the Resolution, in which the NPF Meluri Division reaffirmed its unflinching support and solidarity with NPF Party President and Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio, and acknowledged his leadership in guiding the Party and state towards peace, progress and development.
The Resolution also further states that the NPF Meluri Division shall continue to work in the best interest of the Party, ensuring better coordination, maintaining Party disciplines, ideologies and objectives and addressing grassroot outreach.
Recognising the all-round developmental activities of the Party under the leadership of Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe, MLA & Advisor NSDMA and Inland Waterways, the meeting noted that there has been a continuous joining of new members to the Party fold.
While extending a homely reception, the Party resolved to strive forward together with utmost dedication and allegiance to the leadership of Nyuthe.
Earlier, in his address, Nyuthe, underscored the importance of regionalism in the country and stated that the NPF is one of the oldest regional political parties in the country and represents Naga identity.
He said one of the core principles of the NPF is to uphold Naga identity and preserve Naga culture.
He encouraged members to strive to be economically independent, lamenting that most youths are becoming overly dependent.
Nyuthe also urged the public to extend full cooperation to any developmental activities undertaken by the government and not to hamper their progress.
He encouraged party members to remain steadfast at the grassroots and to keep their commitment to take the party forward.
