DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 8 (MExN): A delegation of the Naga People’s Front’s (NPF) Political Affairs Mission (PAM) held a consultative meeting with the NSCN/GPRN led by General Niki Sumi on February 8. The meeting was held at the outskirts of Molvom Village, informed a press release from the PAM.

The PAM reiterated the party's stand for honourable, acceptable and inclusive solution to the Naga political issue and further urged the group to build an understanding with the other Naga Nationalist groups. 

“The NSCN (K-Niki) has agreed in principle to sit across the table with the two Naga negotiating groups as and when required,” the press release stated. It further said that the NPF-PAM while welcoming the renewal of the ceasefire appreciated both the Government of India and the NSCN/GPRN led by General Niki Sumi “for their endeavour to find solution through peaceful means.” 

Meanwhile the NSCN/GPRN let by General Niki Sumi today stated that it “stands for an inclusive Naga political situation with the intrinsic character of inclusiveness.” 

A press release from Nikato Pilot Sumi, Kilonser, MIP, NSCN/GPRN said that “with the common Naga theme of peace and inclusiveness, NSCN/GPRN welcomes the initiative of Political Affairs Committee (PAM) towards one political solution, inclusive of all Nagas.” 

It further expressed appreciation to the PAM for their “valuable inputs.”
