Dimapur, Nov 15 (MExN): The Nagaland People’s Front in a release issued today said that the remark made by the Governor of the Reserve bank of India about the “improved fiscal position” particularly during the last two years and his assurance “to ensure better credit flow” was proof enough that the DAN was standing by what it had pledged to the people in its Common Minimum Programme during the general election to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly in 2003, Chubatemjen Ao, the Secretary General of the NPF said.
While stating that the saying “seeing is believing” had been proved true after the observations made by the RBI Governor regarding the satisfactory fiscal position in the State the NPF stated that the RBI Governor’s remark after his personal verifications spoke volumes which did not require elaboration. “This offers an opportunity to the people of the State to come to their right senses and to extend full cooperation to the Chief Minister and the DAN Government so that faster developmental growth can be brought about through improved fiscal discipline,” the NPF stated.
