Kohima, May 2 (MExN): The Naga People’s Front (NPF) Central Women Wing and Central Youth Wing have expressed resentment over the defection of 21 of its MLAs to another political party including its former leader, TR Zeliang.
The party youth wing in a press release reaffirmed its fullest support to the leadership of party president, Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu and Leader of the Legislature Wing, Kuzholuzo Nienu and all its leaders.
The youth wing also reiterated to the Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio that NPF being the partner of the UDA Government should do justice and award the UDA chairmanship and cabinet berth to among the four NPF MLAs.
It also expressed hope that under the UDA Government initiatives, the Naga political problem will achieve to a positive expectation of the Naga people.
NPF Central Women Wing in another press released stated that it reaffirms support to the leadership of the party president, Dr Shurhozelie Liezietsu. The wing further appealed to all the party rank and files, from the Central to the unit level, not to be deterred or discouraged but to hold steadfast to the party principles and continue to serve the party with integrity.
