National Quality Assurance Standards External Assessment of HWC Mopungchuket, Mokokchung conducted on April 5.

Mopungchuket, April 5 (MExN): National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) External Assessment of HWC Mopungchuket, Mokokchung was conducted on April 5.
As an opening to the NQAS external assessment, Rongsenlila CHO HWC Mopungchuket, welcomed the two-member team of empanelled External Assessors, Bikash Ranjan Dutta, District Consultant (Quality Assurance) Assam & Dr Vibhor Kumar, Lead- Public Health, Collective Good Foundation Delhi respectively and Dr Imnanoktsung Longchar, DQM Kohima, as facilitator from the Department, Staffs from HWC Mopungchuket, VHC, members from the community and staffs from the office of the Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung.

A press release from the CMO office, Mokokchung stated that the CHO HWC Mopungchuket also highlighted with a PowerPoint presentation, an overview of HWC Mopungchuket which was established in the year 1967 and upgraded to Health & Wellness Centre in the year 2019 which caters to a population of 971; its functioning, infrastructural upgradation and the achievements, organogram, visions and missions of the HWC.
She further thanked the community led by the Village Health Committee for their co operation and contribution towards the HWC and urged their continual support for quality health care services.

As a remark on the visit, Dr Vibhor Kumar lauded the participation and contribution of the Village Health Committee and the community for upholding the upkeep of the Health and Wellness Centre and also made a special mention on the efforts of the ASHAs whom he termed as the Backbone of the Health system.
The NQAS Certification Programme is the highest National quality certification for public Health facilities, which was launched in the year 2013 to improve the quality in Health care services. The certification is awarded against the fulfillment of the National quality assurance standard criteria accredited by International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua).
