NSCN (IM), CAO Sumi Region mourns

Dimapur, November 28 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has mourned the demise of Major Hoishe H Zhimo of the General Headquarters (GHq), Naga Army who passed away on November 28 after a prolonged illness. 

He was from Suruhoto village under Sumi Region. He enrolled in the Naga national service on the June 1, 1992, a condolence message from the MIP stated. 

Stating that late Zhimo served the Naga nation with unwavering patriotism until his demise, the MIp informed that the Longvibu of the Naga Army has  bestowed upon him, posthumously, the rank of Lieutenant Colonel on Sunday, in recognition of his service to the Naga nation.

“For his selfless contributions to the Naga national cause, his name shall be recorded in the pages of the Naga history and he shall be remembered for all time to come,” it said, while conveying condolences to the bereaved family members. 

Meanwhile, the Central Administrative Officer, Sumi Region, also mourned the demise of late Hoishe H Zhimo stating that he held responsibilities in various capacities and worked tirelessly sacrificing what he had. 

“During his last assignment as PRO at Zunheboto town he actively executed his duty with full of dedication and contributed a lot toward the upliftment of the Sumi Region in particular and Naga Nation in general. His demise has created a huge void which will be difficult to be filled,” it stated in a condolence message. 

“At this time of sorrow, we the Sumi Region convey our deepest condolences to the bereaved family and relatives, and wish for the Almighty's comfort,” it added.
