NSCN (IM) offers condolences 

Dimapur,  October 22 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has expressed sadness over the by the untimely demise of Major Chingnyem Manpushu of the General Headquarters (GHq), Naga Army from Shangha Mokok village under Konyak Region on October 22. He joined the Naga national service in 1987 and served with unwavering patriotism until his demise, stated a press release from MIP, NSCN/GPRN. The void created by his demise is deeply felt and would be difficult to fill in but his name and sacrifices shall be recorded in the pages of the Naga history and cherished by all, it said.  “The office of the Adjutant General, Naga Army bestowed upon him posthumously the rank of Lieutenant Colonel on the October 22, in recognition of his service to the Naga nation,” it added.  The NSCN (IM) also conveyed its deep condolences to the bereaved family members and friends of Late Manpushu and prayed the Almighty God grant the departed soul an eternal rest in peace.

ENNWU: The Eastern Naga National Workers Union (ENNWU) also offered its heartfelt condolences to the family members of Late Major Manpushu. The ENNWU mourns the demise of a true soldier of the Nation and will forever be remembered for his unwavering stance towards the Naga cause until his demise, stated a condolence note from Moba Chang, Member of Collective Leadership and Convener, ENNWU.
