NSCN-K (Niki) welcomes 18

Dimapur, July 29 (MExN): The NSCN-K (Niki) on Wednesday claimed that 18 members, led by former NSCN (IM) Executive Steering Committee Member (ESCM) Theja Kire, have joined the group.

In a statement issued by its Ministry of Information and Publicity, the group said those who joined included former NSCN (IM) functionaries holding positions such as kilonser, deputy kilonser, tatar, leacy, razou peyu, khapur and lieutenant from the Angami and Ao regions.

According to the statement, the group includes Theja Kire of Kohima, Roukuadilho Liazietsu, Macho of Piphema, Neilalie of Nachama, Sevilie of Nachama, Zakietoulie of Chiephobozou, Khrigtouza of Kohima, Kedokhotso of Sechüma, Kevikielie of New Piphema, Avibou of Botsa, Dzesavü of Chiechama, Zepulie Thong of Botsa, Asou of Zumvu, Vizelie Kire of Kohima, Kenai Kimho of New Piphema, Avizo of Botsa, Saha of Kohima and Imlikumba Kichu of Mokokchung.

The outfit claimed that the decision of the members to join the NSCN/GPRN was not motivated by ill will or resentment towards any other Naga political group, but was based on their commitment to the political ideology of the NSCN/GPRN and their desire to strengthen the cause of Naga sovereignty.
