NSCN (K) Vice Chairman, 9 others join GPRN/NSCN

DIMAPUR, APRIL 28 (MExN): In what was described as an act of “exhibiting the spirit of Nationalism, and to strengthen the Indo-Naga political issue”, senior functionary member and vice chairman of the NSCN (Khaplang) Mr. Khoba Phom, along with 9 others have joined the GPRN/NSCN, under the leadership of his Excellency, the President, Gen. (Retd) Khole Konyak and General Secretary, Mr. N. Kitovi Zhimomi. This was stated in a press note from the MIP.

Opining that the need of the hour for the Naga people is to reconcile and embrace together unconditionally, the MIP note stated that their decision to join GPRN/NSCN is for the sake of the Nagas because it is “the common ground and that the Nagas can come to an understanding, shedding away factional mindset, urging Naga patriots everywhere to commit themselves to total reconciliation without any condition”.

The other members who joined the GPRN/NSCN long with the Vice chairman are: Chingak Phom of Yongyah village; Lieut. Khungba Phom of Auching village; Lieut. Atu Phom of Shakshi village; 2nd Lieut. Taulau Phom of Shakshi village; Lance Corporal Nyanlong Phom of Yongyah village; 2nd Lieut. Themjen Phom of Yongyah village; Private Metcho Phom of Yangching village; Private Chongpang Phom of Tamlu village and Daniel Phom of Yaong village. 

Appealing to all National Workers of all factions in every region to opt for a secure future, as there is no logic in forming a new revolutionary group or staying divided, also stating that it is for the future that they chose to join GPRN/NSCN unconditionally.

GPRN/NSCN & Angami frontal organization consultative meet

GPRN/NSCN led by Convener, National Political Advisory Council (NPAC), Mr. Azheto Chophi and the representatives from Angami Public Organization, along with all its Frontal Organization congregated at GPRN/NSCN Designated Camp, Khehoi on 28th April 2012 for a consultative meeting. 

This was informed in a press note issued by the MIP Designated Camp, Khehoi. 
According to the press note, the Angami frontal organization shared their desire to see the Nagas as one family. “They were of the opinion that division, violence and bloodshed in the Naga family must stop immediately”. The representatives also stressed on the ‘one voice, one nation’ ideology, which will pave the way for early solution to the Indo-Naga political imbroglio. 

The GPRN/NSCN expressed gratitude to all Angami frontal organizations for their co-operation and hoped that the masses would be informed of the ground reality and proposed to jointly pursue political right of the Nagas through reconciliation and unity. It may be mentioned that, the April 28, 2012 consultative meet is a continuation of the GPRN/NSCN’S desires to pursue serious consultations with all esteemed apex Tribal Hohos and Organizations to factually analyze the issue confronting the Naga people.
