DIMAPUR, AUGUST 21 (MExN): The National Socialist Council of Nagaland Khaplang has made it “crystal clear to entire Nagas that Reconciliation and Unification had always been” its top agenda and that the on-going peace process being led by the FNR and the “COR” which was endorsed by SS Khaplang along with Isak Swu and Singya continued to be “consistently upheld and unequivocally committed to”. According to a press note issued by the MIP the “purported statement mentioning that SS.Khaplang alone could not attend the latest FNR’s meeting held on 21 August 2011 at Niathu’s resort Dimapur on grounds of ill-health and distant location needs clarification”.
According to the group it was “neither aware nor received any invitation/information formally or informally, therefore trying to misrepresent the facts by any concerned party is only an attempt to tarnish the NSCN/GPRN image”. “The organizers of the so called meet should clarify its position on the irresponsible statement issued immediately to clear unnecessary misconception that may arise”, stated the MIP note from the NSCN Khaplang.
