Dimapur, May 26 (MExN): The office of the NSCN(R) President, in consultation with the Collective Leadership has appointed Omnyei Konyak as the convenor of Advisors to the Collective Leadership (ACL).
Informing this in a press release on Wednesday, the NSCN (R) MIP stated that Konyak’s appointment was made “basing on his seniority, sincerity, loyalty and statesmanship.”
Meanwhile, the MIP on behalf of all rank and file takes congratulated the new convenor who will be shouldering the responsibility of leading a team that includes other ACL members: Viniho Kiho, O Chingmak Chang, Maj (Retd) Joseph Anal, N Panmei, and Lt Gen (Retd) Nyemlang Konyak.
The NSCN (R) also invoked God's wisdom upon the ACL members “to enable them to provide logical supports to the Collective Leadership so as to continue to represent the Nagas and its cause, keeping in mind the interest and the aspiration of the Naga people as topmost priority,” the MIP stated.
