NSCN (R) reiterates resolutions

Dimapur, April 12 (MExN): The NSCN (R) UT-1 today said that following the ‘declaration’ issued by the Dimapur based NSCN (R) on March 31, a meeting of all UT staff including “top Naga army officials” was held on April 10.

During the meeting, NSCN (R) UT-1 through its MIP in a press release reiterated “unconditional and unwavering support” to the leadership of President, Y Wangtin Naga, Vice-President, Akato Chophi and Ato Kilonser, P Tikhak and also extended solidarity to the leadership of N Kitovi Zhimomi, Convener WC-NNPGs. 

It reaffirmed to stand by the ‘extraordinary emergency joint council meeting on August 28, 2019’ which resolved to expel Khekato for his involvement in the murder of late Major Toishe of NSCN (IM), and “if at all, any further decision has to be taken, will have to be moved through the ‘Joint Council’ only, on the advice of the Collective Leadership.” Unless Khekato’s murder issue booked under GR 674/19 is resolved and cleared by the law enforcing agencies, including 'clean-chit' be issued by the victim’s family and village forums, and the NSCN (IM), the UT-1 said it will “neither recognise nor entertain and support the murder accused, at any point of time.”

The house resolved to abide by the criteria and protocol followed by all NPGs governments and acknowledge any ‘order, decree, diktat or notification’ issued only by Ministry of Information & Publicity (MIP). It also stated that any press statements issued by any individuals, whatsoever, other than the MIP office will not be accepted. On the appointment of any head of Ministry or Department, it decided to “stick” by the NSCN’s Ahza, that it will be processed only after the budget session as mentioned in article 21(A) and article 23(A) of the NSCN’s Yehzabo. It also cautioned all UT-1 staff that “strict and punitive” action will be initiated under anti-party and anti-national acts, if “found dealing with any fugitive or self-styled un-recognized individuals.”

Meanwhile, it also requested all business firms, personalities, contractors, patrons, well-wishers and individuals to abstain from dealing with “murder accused” but report to the competent authorities, in case of harassment by con-man and others.
“Even after this notification,” it said “if anyone is found dealing with the self-claimed Chaplee Kilonser” they “shall be doing so in their own risk.”
