Dimapur, August 28 (MExN): Nagaland State Disability Forum (NSDF) Dimapur Unit led by its President, Kakheto and other colleagues had an informal meeting with Sushil Kumar Patel (IAS), DC Dimapur and Chairman, DDRC Dimapur and Tsidi, EAC, Nodal Officer, Grievance Cell for Persons with Disability (PwD) at the DC’s Office chamber on August 27.
A press release stated that the meeting was centered on the matter relating to Person with Disability (PwD) being freely able to approach the grievance cell with their issues and for any queries related to issues of PwDs. The DC assured that he would look into the issue of Aadhaar Card for the PwDs while informing about the fund allocation for welfare of PwDs in the district.
The NSDF Dimapur Unit acknowledged the DC for initiating the Grievance Cell for PwDs, allocating funds for PwDs and for construction of accessible toilet for PwDs under the DMC.
It may be mentioned that the Grievance cell for PwDs in the District of Dimapur is a recent initiative of the district administration to look into the issues, grievances and information dissemination related to PwDs in Dimapur.
