NSDMA convergence centers on government programmes and policies

Kohima, February 26 (MExN): The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) organized a convergence programme on February 26 at Hotel Vivor, Kohima.

“Through this convergence of officers and representatives of all the units and District Project Associates of DDMAs, the government looks forward to achieving its goal of successful implementation and execution of its programmes and policies,” Advisor NSDMA, Home Department Kazheto Kinimi said in his keynote address on Friday.

He stated that the platform is an opportunity to discuss various matters, share ideas, programmes and policies related to the NSDMA activities in Nagaland.

NSDMA along with its District Task Forces has worked very hard in the containment and management of COVID-19 cases in the State, Kinimi said and expressed gratitude for their services.

He also solicited continued efforts and cooperation towards efforts to contain the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Stressing the important role of NSDMA, the Advisor said that it has become a vital part in the governance of the State. As such, we have to keep track of activities, programmes and policies of our State government, he shared. 

The idea of having the convergence is to come together with the vision to further the activities of NSDMA, Kinimi said and through the platform, the government wants to share its programmes and policies related to NSDMA with them, he added.  He also assured full support towards fulfilling the objectives of the NSDMA.

The programme was attended by Principal Secretary (Home) Abhijit Sinha, Johnny Ruiangmei OSD NSDMA, Program Officer UNICEF India, Anand Prokash Kanoon and other dignitaries.
