NSF conference to focus on ‘Resilience in Transition’

Dimapur, August 23 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) is all set to hold 31st General Conference under the theme the “Resilience in Transition” at the RSA Ground, Tseminyu from August 27 to 30.

Highlighting the core of the theme of the upcoming 31st General Conference, the federation in the event programme, emphasised that resilience must mean more than endurance, it must involve resisting complacency and rising with purpose.

The federation, describing itself as a “fearless voice against corruption, injustice, and neglect,” also issued a self-critical note, acknowledging it must “honestly acknowledge where it has faltered” and reclaim its role as the “moral compass of Naga society.”

“The transition is not just political; it is generational,” the note read. It also raised urgent questions about the place of Naga students in a world being reshaped by artificial intelligence and digital disruption.

It extended call for “deep retrospection” beyond the student community to leaders across all Naga political groups, asking, “Do we truly care for the future of the Nagas?”

Centered on this theme, the federation will hold the 31st General Conference, which will be hosted by Rengma Students’ Union.
Lok Sabha MP S Supongmeren Jamir will be the introductory guest while Rural Development & SIRD minister Metsubo Jamir will be the inaugural guest.

The conference will also feature a panel discussion on “Youth as the Bridge to our Political Future” with Nepuni Piku, MLA Achumbemo Kikon, Ningreichon Tungshang and Dr Lanusashi Longkumer as panellists.
