Mission Director, NSRLM, Moa Sangtam addresses the gathering during a three-day workshop on the integration of Annual Action Plans (AAP), held at RD Conference Hall, Kohima on January 12.
Kohima, January 12 (MExN): The Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) on Monday commenced a three-day workshop on the integration of Annual Action Plans (AAP) for the financial year 2026–27 under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana–National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM), with participation from all district and block Mission Management Units across the state.
Delivering the keynote address, Joint Secretary, Rural Development, and Mission Director, NSRLM, Moa Sangtam said he was proud of the impact NSRLM has made at the grassroots level, empowering women self-help groups (SHGs) to lead rural prosperity across Nagaland. He commended the efficiency and commitment of the mission team in nurturing SHGs to their present level, while emphasising the need to prioritise the disengagement of non-performing staff of the mission.
As DAY-NRLM enters a new phase, Sangtam urged the team to ensure a smooth transition and align the state mission’s goals with NRLM 2.0.
Chief Operating Officer, NSRLM, M Rollan Lotha, appreciated the collective efforts of the NSRLM team over the past 13 years, stating that the mission has brought about remarkable changes in the lives of the poor and marginalised. He noted that the readiness conditions for NRLM 2.0 implementation in Nagaland are conducive and said the review and planning exercises over the next two days would capture the current status, plans, way forward and scalable innovations emerging from the grassroots.
Lotha further said that the perspective goal for the next five years would focus on communitising key verticals of DAY-NRLM, with community institutions taking the lead in leadership, inclusion, social action, livelihoods, enterprise development, financial literacy, advocacy and other areas, contributing towards the Viksit Bharat 2047 goal.
During the workshop, state thematic leads for Institution Building and Capacity Building (IBCB), Social Inclusion and Social Development (SISD), Financial Inclusion, Farm Livelihoods, Non-Farm Livelihoods, and Monitoring and Evaluation and Management Information System (M&E and MIS) presented their respective key focus areas. The presentations aimed at ensuring meaningful discussions and effective preparation of the AAP for FY 2026–27, while fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among Mission Management Units to develop a clear and integrated framework across all NRLM thematic areas.
The workshop is being led and coordinated by Imonenla Imkong Phom, State Programme Manager, M&E Division, State Mission Management Unit (SMMU). In her introductory note, she said the collective planning exercise would help shape a people-centric, inclusive and sustainable NRLM 2.0 that nurtures empowered women, sustainable institutions and vibrant communities, reflecting the aspirations of women across villages and enabling grassroots institutions to act as catalysts for inclusive growth and rural transformation.
The workshop is being attended by Assistant District Programme Managers (ADPMs) from all districts and Block Programme Managers (BPMs) from all blocks across the state.
