Kohima, March 26 (MExN): A seminar on biodiversity and conservation was conducted at Azedon School Kohima on March 25 by the Nagaland State Biodiversity Board (NSSB) on the topic ‘Developing IT Infrastructure in Schools for promoting Biodiversity Conservation’.
In the key note address, Assistant Conservator of Forest, Kohima Elithung Odyuo spoke on the importance of biodiversity and asked the teachers and students to work together as one in conserving the biodiversity. The department presented IT equipment to the school. The vote of thanks was delivered by Sentinaro, Headmistress of the school. She thanked the Department for selecting the school in the implementation of developing IT infrastructure in schools for promoting biodiversity conservation.
After the seminar, the technical staff of the NSSB along with the Eco-club members of the school led the plantation drive in the campus while some technical staff along with the teachers and students conducted the documentation of biological resources in the school.
