Dimapur, May 19 (MExN): The Northern Sumi Students Union (NSSU) has condemned the alleged assault of one Sumi students’ leader and his companion on May 15 at Pezielietsie (Tinpati), Kohima.
‘The NSSU strongly condemns this barbaric act of crime and request the law enforcing agencies to take stem action and measures upon the culprits as per the law and ensure that justice is delivered at the earliest,’ stated a press release from the union.
The release issued by NSSU President, P Samuel Chophy and General Secretary, Hika Achumi further conveyed its solidarity towards the two victims and their families and wish them speedy recovery.
