NSU Bangalore hosts online essay competition

Dimapur, October 5 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Union Bangalore (NSUB) hosted an online literary competition under the theme, ‘Igniting Self Responsibility.’ An essay competition was held on the topic, ‘COVID-19: The consequences on politics, economy, health and public relation.’

The panel of judges was Dr Kaholi Zhimomi, Associate Professor UTC, Raymond Ronamai, Associate Editor of Eastern Mirror and Sunep Imsong, Technology Implementation Lead. 

The winners Lamyile Meru (1st), Veithriene Pao (2nd), K Manenei (3rd) were awarded cash prize of Rs 3000, Rs 2000 and Rs 1000 respectively. 

Zakietuo Noudi, Vice President, NSUB said that Union understanding the current pandemic situation has decided not to host any social gathering event this year, but to keep the members active, and to stay connected with the union, the online competitions initiative was taken. 

“Literary competition is one of the first events and also an upcoming online talent show which will start from October last week,” informed a press release issued by  Paul N Rengma, General Secretary, NSUB.
