Mokokchung, June 7 (MExN): The Mokokchung DTF COVID-19, following a meeting on Monday, has notified that the odd-even system of vehicles will be strictly applicable to vehicles entering Mokokchung Municipal area from June 8 to 11.
The DC Mokokchung and Chairman DTF, Limawabang Jamir in an order stated the following modalities are issued for effective implementation:
- Intra-district vehicular movement entering Mokokchung municipal area and vehicular movement within Mokokchung Municipal area will strictly follow the odd-even system of vehicles
- Interstate vehicles carrying essential commodities and goods will be exempted
- Inter-district vehicular movement of essential nature and travelling with valid permit will be exempted
- Government vehicles and also private vehicles engaged in essential services, COVID-19 duty, medical emergency will be exempted
The schedule will be as follows: June 8 and 10 for vehicles with registration Number ending with even number (0, 2, 4, 6, 8); June 9 and 11 for vehicles with registration Number ending with odd number (1,3,5,7,9).
Failure to comply with the guidelines will attract monetary penalization, the order added.
