Stating that it is an honour for the company to be associated with one of the most vibrant festivals, Swu expressed gratitude to the Government of Nagaland led by Neiphiu Rio as the Chief Minister. “Hornbill is not only about showcasing our rich culture, food, art and creativity, it is also a platform where music plays a major role,” stated Swu.

Acknowledging TaFMa’s contribution, Swu said it has played a major role in integrating Naga musicians with global artists through the Hornbill Music Festival.

Swu announced that Ruopfüzhano Whiso, who served as ambassador last year, would continue in the role for 2025. “We chose her because she has been able to promote and give identity to Naga youth in many ways,” he said.

Meanwhile, speaking about her experience, Whiso said her association with Toyota had been wonderful adding this is her second year as Toyota ambassador.

“Last year was exciting, we ran giveaways, including charity-based T-shirt promotions, created fun content and interacted with Drum Tao, who will also be returning this year” she informed.

She added that engagement from the public had been overwhelmingly positive and annouced that this year, it will offer something new with new stories and experiences, and urged all to keep watching staying that 2025 edition will bring more excitement.

Responding to questions on Toyota’s core objective behind this partnership, Swu said the mission was simple - promoting Naga youth, especially in the music sector.

“We are satisfied with what we’ve seen so far. Many Naga artists have been promoted through TaFMA and many more will be,” he said.

Highlighting cross-cultural interactions and opportunities for the youth,  Swu said “International artists are coming again. At the Toyota Key house, TaFMA will be hosting artists from different countries. Local musicians can meet and interact with them. We will also display several of our flagship vehicles including the Vellfire, Land Cruiser and Camry, creating a space for engagement and experience.”

Whiso expressed optimism about the growing global exposure for young Naga talents. “The views we generate online alone offer a huge platform for Naga youth. The question now is, are our youth ready to step up? Because the stage is already theirs.”
