Old High Court complex is now capable ‘holding full-fledged’ State High Court

Kohima, June 22 (MExN): The repair and renovation of the old High Court complex in Kohima has been completed and with construction of additional court rooms, it is capable of holding a “full-fledged State High Court.” 

According to a press release, Advisor Law & Justice, Nagaland, Dr Chumben Murry was informed of the status during a visit to the New High Court Complex Kohima currently under construction on June 22.

With regard to the new complex, it was learnt that due to staggered flow of fund, construction has taken time but, nearly 75% of the structural works have been completed, added the release from the Advisor’s Aide.  The main complex will ready before the end of this year, it said. 

The Advisor was also informed that grant of separate High Court of Nagaland was also expected to be tabled on the floor of the Parliament in the coming sessions, it added.  He was accompanied by Department officials and contractor.
