Kohima, January 15 (MExN): A one-day PM Vishwakarma Marketing and Entrepreneurship Orientation Workshop was conducted at the DC’s Conference Hall here on Thursday to create awareness among artisans and entrepreneurs on government schemes, marketing strategies, financial literacy and business formalisation.
The programme began with a welcome address by Ahunle Tep, General Manager, District Industries Centre (DIC), Kohima, who highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship and market preparedness for local artisans under the PM Vishwakarma scheme.
The first technical session, focusing on schemes under the Ministry of MSME and the Nagaland government, was delivered by Pezalhoulie Kets, Inspector of Industries, DIC Kohima. He briefed participants on various central and state support mechanisms available for micro, small and medium enterprises.
The second session on entrepreneurship development programme (EDP), branding, advertising and packaging was presented by Vilalhounuo Solo, Non-Farm Livelihoods, District Mission Management Unit, NSRLM, RD Kohima. She underscored the role of branding, advertising and proper packaging in improving product visibility and market competitiveness.
The third session on the benefits of onboarding PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries on Udyam and QR code was conducted by Rahul Sahani, Senior Consultant, EY. He explained how formal registration and digital integration help in expanding business opportunities.
The fourth session on financial literacy and banking-related matters was led by Thangchinmuan Hangzo, Senior Branch Manager, Punjab National Bank. He provided practical insights on banking procedures, credit facilities and the importance of financial discipline for small entrepreneurs.
