Kohima, March 19 (MExN): One cadre of the NSCN (R) was reportedly killed in general area Motong, Changlang District, Arunachal Pradesh on March 16. According to a press release from HQ IGAR (N), “Based on a specific input, security forces in a joint operation with State police neutralised one cadre of NSCN (R) and recovered one AK-47 with magazine, 17 rounds of 7.62mm AK 47, 50 rounds of M 16 and one packet of Opium near Motong, Changlang District, Arunachal Pradesh.” The recovered items have been handed over to Changlang Police Station, Changlang for further investigation, the release added.
