Dimapur, March 17 (MExN): The Nagaland Pensioners’ Association (NPA) Dimapur, on March 16, has re-directed all the living and family pensioners in Dimapur district open Bank Account at the earliest.
The beneficiaries are themselves are to be blamed if they do not get their pensions as it is now mandatory that all pension payments to be made through Bank Transfer Transactions, stated a press release from NPA Dimapur President SK Kenye.
“They are further directed to obtain/renew their Identity Card ‘D’Card from the Pensioners’ office, near Senior Treasury Office, Dimapur,” it said.
Stating that drawing of pension money without Identity Card is a contravention of the standing Government Notification, the association informed all concerned to do the needful at the earliest.
Henceforth both Treasury office as well as Banks shall insist on producing Identity Proof during verification, it added.
