Every Naga Tribe believe in its own history and likewise we believe in our Zeliangrong History. It is a historical fact handed down by our ancestors through successive generations: the name of Ntangki River has never changed and we cannot change this indigenous nomenclature of a river. The source of the Ntangki River originates from Beisumpui’s land and flows down to join with Temaki (Dhanasiri River) which is boundary between Assam and Nagaland. When the British Survey Team came to map the area, the name of the river Ntangki was corruptly written as ‘Intangki’ due to communication barrier though assisted by the Beisumpui Villagers.
Another river ‘Mongleu’ starts from Peren Village land, the source of which is near the present Peren Town and it merges with Temaki (Dhansiri), the confluence of Mongleu with Dhansiri. These indigenous names of the rivers have never changed from time immemorial till today. The British Survey Team inadvertently recorded the name as ‘Monglu Mukh’ for the convenience of their conservational purposes.
There is no record or history about the name of a British man or a British Woman called ‘Tanki’ or ‘Tanky’ who died at Ntangki. Ntangki name is derived from the Zeme dialect of the Zeliangrong tribe and WSH led by its L.K Achumi may please clarify which Institution or Library in the World has such records? This will probably be the biggest joke of the Century- the fact that someone like LK Achumi from Zunheboto trying to teach the Zeliangrongs the history of Peren.
L.K Achumi followed by his apprentice Vikato Shikhu is cooking up lies after lies. It is a shame we have such individuals embarrassing the Naga Society. And what kind of a dialogue or with who does the WSH wants to sit across the table? WSH is getting more ridiculous ideas day by day!
By composing your own versions, the history of the Zeliangrongs can never be diluted. Every Naga tribe has its own history. The boundary is demarcated by the name of a river or mountain or lake, which is usually not known by other Nagas or Non-Nagas, but by the indigenous inhabitants and hence the question of calling for Documents Proofs do not arise.
If you really insist upon Government records, the easiest way for you is to look into the map of 1837, where there is not even a single Sema village in the map; whereas Beisumpui, Peren, Jalukie and Lamhai are clearly indicated in this Survey Map.
If the Zeliangrong start claiming that Zunheboto is the common land of the Nagas and the property of all and sundry. How will the Semas feel? You must do to others what you would like others to do to you.
All other Naga tribes are serving notices for encroachers to return to their original villages, why can’t the WSH accept the reality that Inavi men are encroachers?
If one proceeds from Dimapur, Jalukie Jangdi falls within Peren Constituency and Beisumpuikam falls under Tening Constituency and after crossing Beisumpuikam village, it is Ntangki National Park. Pathetically, after coming all the way from Zunheboto and crossing the villages of two Assembly Constituencies namely Peren and Tening Assembly Constituencies, what business do you have after crossing Beisumpuikam?
The answer is as simple as the question itself. Crossing and going beyond Beisumpuikam village is for exploiting and encroaching Zeliangrong’s territory. You should immediately stop making the mistake of presuming that other Naga tribes are inferior to the Semas in logical understanding. Even a School boy will understand that when you are desperately trying to justify rampant encroachments, where is the question of “peaceful co-existence”? Which peaceful co-existence are you talking of?
As long as the Government of Nagaland is serious about protecting the National Park, it will have a National character. But if any vested interest person, be it LK Achumi or WSH or WSYF for that matter, try to exploit and occupy physically, we will not part even an inch of our land come what may.
There is no question of War and War Gates, if you do not intend to push your men inside the territory of other tribes.
