Orgs appeal Nagas to be vigilant against fraudsters

Dimapur, July 30 (MExN): In regard to the arrest of Abu Sayed, the NPF in a press note stated that people should be vigilant not to fall prey to such people in future.

“…rather than day dreaming or hobnobbing with any individual, agencies or companies (Fraudsters) for acquisition of wealth through unscrupulous, cheap means or easy money for hedonistic values; it is high time that we all realize the very essence of Prosperity and self reliance and make our contributions through hard work and sincerity,” it stated.

The fraudster Abu Sayed, who conned out Rs 1.10 cr from a "gullible Naga women", was arrested at North Lakhimpur Town, Assam by a team of Dimapur Police led by Inspector Atu Zumvü and Sub Inspector Mhapeni.

“This is neither the first nor only case wherein residents of Nagaland have been duped by frauds and tactical cheats for years, through various designs; nor is this a maiden case being tactfully cracked by the daring Nagaland Police who are second to none, with apt courage. There has been many instances wherein a considerable number of people from Nagaland had been duped by personals, agencies or companies in the like of Abu Sayed, and the culprits vanishing into thin air, leaving their careless, ambitious preys helpless; in many cases, with unrecoverable loses,” the note stated.

In another press note, the Youth Association of Nagaland (YAN) has urged the SP of Dimapur to take stringent action on Abu Sayed as per the law and deliver justice without any consideration. YAN has also appealed to all the Nagas to be cautious and avoid “earning easy money lure” and “false promises by recruiting agencies”.
