Kohima, July 14 (MExN): To review the Communitisation of Public Institutions and Services Act 2002, the Governor of Nagaland has constituted a Panel for Review of the Act.
According to the notification issued by Chief Secretary Temjen Toy, the panel will include Banuo Z Jamir, IAS (Rtd) Former Chief Secretary, Nagaland as Chairperson/Convenor and John Lohe, Addl Director (Rtd), School Education as member secretary.
The notification stated that the panel will study the strength and weaknesses of the Communitisation of Public Institutions and Services Act 2002 covering all the public services covered under the Act and make recommendations for improvement and reformation of delivery of public services.
It will also identify areas of concern and suggest remedial measures for improvement in implementation of the Act/ omission of services/activities from the purview of the Act and to study the existing lacunae in the functioning of the stakeholder departments in implementation of the Act and suggest measures for improvement in the implementation/execution of duties in the delivery of public services.
