Peren, May 4 (MExN): In the last four months, Peren Police made several arrests related to cases of murder, Arms Act, NLTP Act and others. As per the DEF Peren Quarterly Crime Bulletin issued by the Sr Superintendent of Police, Peren, the cases were registered under IPC and other Local Laws and other crimes from January 1 to April 30, 2022.
In a murder case, four people were arrested while one person was arrested in a theft case. One case under NDPS Act was registered where one person was arrested. The police recovered two soap cases suspected to be contraband brown sugar (weighing approximately 16 grams).
Under the Arms Act, two cases were filed where one person was arrested with two 7.65mm pistols with magazines and 42 different calibers live rounds. Eight cases under NLTP Act was registered where eight persons were arrested and recovered 65 litres MC Rum, 200 litres Can Beer and 46.25 litres AC Black whisky. In the case of BEFR Act, 15 people were arrested for non-possession of ILP.
Peren Police also recovered three motor bikes and one Scooty; two mobile phones and handed over to the rightful owner; one heavy vehicle truck; three auto rickshaws recovered while assisting Dimapur Police in connection with their case; traced and rescued two minor boy from Assam and re-united with their family.
