Pfütsero, April 15 (MExN): Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pfütsero and Chairman of Block Task Force on COVID-19 chaired the BTF meeting on April 13.
The meeting was held to discuss the measures for public safety and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and guidelines issued by the State Government as a result of resurgence of COVID-19 situation, stated a DIPR report.
Public awareness
The members were informed about the importance of public awareness on COVID-19 and necessary measures that need to be followed. It was informed that before strictly enforcing SOPs in public spaces, repeated announcements were made in Pfütsero town as part of public awareness, to be soon followed by enforcement of measures by authorities concerned.
Strict enforcement of SOPs
The meeting discussed about strict enforcement of SOPs and guidelines, especially, mandatory wearing of masks in public places, gatherings, churches, both in Pfütsero town and in the villages. Similarly, all the shops are to install hand wash and hand sanitizer facilities as per the directive of the Government. In this regard, periodical checking will be done and defaulters will be penalized.
Random sampling
The members were informed about the random sampling with Rapid Antigen Test kit for screening of COVID-19 to be soon undertaken by Medical Department for shopkeepers, drivers, bank officials, and persons with high risk exposure, for which, cooperation of concerned public leaders was sought.
COVID-19 care facility at CHC
A COVID-19 care facility at CHC, Pfütsero will be set up in coordination with SMO, Pfütsero. The meeting discussed on the vaccination drive and members were urged to get the vaccination in time. The Chairman also urged all the members to be prepared for any exigent situation.
