Phek, October 26 (MExN): Phek District conducted an emergency District Review meeting on October 24 with the District Programme Officers, SMOs, MOs and BPMs to discuss low district performance on Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign (MRVC), challenges and to plan new strategies to improve the district performance on MRVC.
During the meeting, the house discussed on false rumors and wrong propagandas on MRVC which was still affecting people at large to take MR vaccination. It also discussed on the reluctance of some big villages and schools which in turn affected district performance. Dr Kolhitso during his presentation, shared on block wise achievement on MRVC in all the colonies of Phek town and on sensitization meeting held with the Village Chairman, Village Health Chairman, Pastors and villagers that boosted the performance to some extent.
Block Officials also presented block updates and challenges faced during the campaign. The house resolved to write an appeal letter to all the organizations to give support on MRVC. Villages and schools with very low MR coverage were identified and noted down to be sent to the state.
Sede Rupreo DPM highlighted the house on RCH and HMIS related matters. Earlier, welcome address was given by Dr Vethihulu, Deputy CMO where she directed all the SMOs, MOs and staffs to remain in station during the campaign. The meeting was chaired by Dr Ruokuohelie Rutsa, DTO while vote of thanks was delivered by Azenuo Mere DCM.
