Dimapur, March 1 (MExN): With the rest of the nation Phek and Mon districts launched the second phase of COVID-19 vaccination for age-appropriate groups on March 1.
In Phek, the vaccination drive was launched at Phek District Hospital. All citizens from the age of 60 years and above and 45- 59 years of age with comorbidities or diseases will be vaccinated at designated COVID Vaccination Centres in all health units across the district, District Media Officer Kutolu Nakro informed in a press release.
The release informed that citizens may register on the spot with proper identification cards such as Pan Card/Driving licence/Electoral ID card or Aadhar card, or register online and book an appointment.
Comorbid patients between 45-59 years of age having conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, renal diseases or cardiac problems etc., are to obtain medical certificate from registered medical practitioners, it added.
For online registration citizens can log in to self.registration.cowin.gov.in.
Meanwhile, a release from the Mon NHM Media Officer informed that the vaccination drive in Mon was launched at District Hospital, Mon. It said that more facilities will be opened in a phase wise manner.
DPO (UIP&RCH) Dr Sashinle Tep announced that the COWIN app 2.0 allows on-site registration and that beneficiaries including health care workers and front line workers who were not registered previously can avail the service, provided they bring their photo ID.
It also requested beneficiaries to follow the COVID appropriate behaviours such as wearing of mask, sanitization of hands at entry and maintaining physical distance in every session site.
