The Department of Philosophy, ICFAI University Nagaland, held a talk on the topic ‘Photography: Facts & Facets of the Art’ on September 18 at the IUN auditorium. Atsen Murry was the resource person for the talk.
A press release stated that J Thompu welcomed the resource person and led the program. Rovikotuo Yhoshü, HoD of the Department of Philosophy said that the department was holding monthly talks on aesthetics and the practical application of philosophy. He highlighted that two talks on aesthetics in art and literature had already been conducted and that the department was looking forward to more of such talks in the coming months.
Atsen Murry, photographer behind Pixel Stories, shared his experiences as a photographer and talked about the technicalities of what contributes to the making of a good picture. He spoke about the history of how photography started and the elements of photography. Through the use of slides he showed some of his works and illustrated how we can apply the elements of photography to pictures to make them beautiful or what we consider as beautiful.
