Modern College Mr and Ms Freshers 2024 Neilie Rio and Fita Pfinyu with others during the freshers day held on July 26.
Piphema, July 26 (MExN): Modern College, Piphema held freshers’ day with Dili Khekho, Proprietor of D-Cafe as special guest at Indoor Stadium on July 26.
Dili Kheko challenged the students to think outside the box and get out of their comfort zone. “This is a new beginning and journey,” he said and advised the gathering “to set a target, have a vision and strive to achieve more than what they have achieved in their HSSLC.” He encouraged the students “not to be afraid of challenges but to put that extra effort to be successful in life.”
“The future is uncertain and the journey may be tough but students should know the reason why they are here, in college and work towards that goal of doing better,” he added.
In total 20 participants contested for the Mr and Ms Freshers title. Kedovoto Keyho and Kezhazeno Thepa won Mr and Ms Multimedia 2024; Neilie Rio and Kezhazeno Thepa won Mr and Ms Personality while Neilie Rio and Fita Pfinyu were crowned Mr and Ms Freshers 2024.
Nepe C, Vice President, EU invoked God’s blessings and Ricky Das, General Secretary, MCSU, welcomed the gathering. Neilie Rio of 1st Sem presented a speech on behalf of the Freshers’. Chemjungli, Asst General Secretary, MCSU presented a special song and followed by Presentation of Awards to the respective Faculty for producing Topper and excelling in the recent UG University Exam.
The session was followed by an informal session where many students took part in showing their talents. Sentiein Kichu was the special artist in the informal session.
