Mon, April 26 (MExN): In order to take effective measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, DC Mon, Thavaseelan K IAS on April 26 ordered the sealing of Planning Office, Mon Town for 48 hours till further orders. In another notification, the DC ordered the sealing of a Government Quarter in Wagiem Ward, Mon Town till further orders. Any person violating the containment measures would be liable to be proceeded against as per the provision of Sections 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and other legal provisions as applicable, the DC Mon notified.
One house sealed in Naginimora
Meanwhile, the ADC Naginimora, Vineet Kumar IAS, on April 25 ordered the sealing of a house in Police Colony, Ward No.08, Naginimora till further orders. The ADC also reiterated that any person violating the containment measures would be liable to penalty as per the law.
