JCC appeals to CM on plight of Community Health Centre at Shamator
Shamtor, June 3 (MExN): Relentlessly drawing the attention of the Nagaland Chief Minister and the Department of Health and family Welfare to the plights of Community Health Centre, Shamator the Joint Co-Ordination Committee (JCC) Shamator on Thursday once again submitted a reminder through the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shamator.
The JCC has reminded the CM for immediate deployment of additional three doctors led by SMO; additional five staff nurses GNM/ANM; Technician and Pharmacists; provision for COVID-19 Testing Centre (TrueNat) at Shamator; and provision for ambulance with Advance Life Support System.
Earlier on May 12, the Civil Society Organization of Shamator wrote to Principal Director, DoHFW seeking his immediate intervention to address the plight. Thereafter, JCC Shamator also appraised the authority concerned on May 21.
“However, our appeals have not been considered and so, accordingly, the JCC was compelled to seek your intervention which has been communicated to your esteemed office through our Memorandum dated 26th May 2021. But to our dismay, the five point demand of the public has not been addressed by the competent authority till date,” said the letter appended by JCC Convenor, S Toji and Member Secretary, Thsantong.
Therefore, JCC reiterating its demand appealed to the CM “to please intervene immediately and address the public demand at the earliest to mitigate the situation from further escalation in the best interest of general public.”
Meanwhile, it also cautioned that in the event of non-fulfillment of public demand, the JCC will be compelled to seek justice through various befitting platforms and any consequences therein, the State Government will be solely held responsible.
