MOKOKCHUNG, FEBRUARY 6 (MExN): An awareness workshop under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme was held on February 6 at the DC’s Conference Hall in Mokokchung. The programme was organised by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, in association with the District Industries Centre, Mokokchung.
Delivering the welcome address, General Manager DIC Mokokchung, B Asangla, thanked the district administration for its support and expressed hope that the scheme would benefit the district’s skilled artisans.
Addressing the gathering, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Atsungba Walling, highlighted the role of artisans in preserving Naga culture and traditions. He described artisans as key contributors to the local economy and urged participants to make full use of the workshop.
Technical sessions moderated by Functional Manager DIC Mokokchung, Asula Imlong, covered MSME schemes, entrepreneurship and marketing, financial literacy and digital integration. Renbenthung Kikon, Inspector of Industries, spoke on MSME schemes, while Temsurenla Kichu, Area Coordinator NRLM, discussed entrepreneurship, marketing, e-commerce and packaging. Financial literacy and credit-related issues were addressed by Olemmenla, Deputy Manager SBI AMCC Mokokchung, and a session on digital onboarding and QR code generation was conducted by Lohe Lokajia Victoria, SL-PMU.
The workshop concluded with feedback and closing remarks from MSME-DFO Dimapur.
