Noklak, February 8 (MExN): With the support of the civil societies and Church, the Pathso Nokeng Students’ Union (PNSU) initiated mass social works to clean and beautify the two graveyards of the village on February 1 and 8.
According to a the press release issued by PNSU, Information & Publicity Secretary, P Tangsoi, “these burial sites remained unhygienic, covered with old trees and bushes, with negligible change for a very long time. However, with active community participation, the once scary and unsightly places are now transformed into completely new looks.”
The cemeteries are intensively cleaned, demarcated and the memorial stones are rearranged with the participation of more than 400 people, the Union informed.
Meanwhile, keeping in mind the availability of limited space, it stated “the village decided that no one will do concreting inside the grave and the memorial stone to be limited within the area of 3x3 square feet. For future maintenance, the Youth Department of Pathso Nokeng Baptist Doathe will take over the responsibility.”
