Kohima, August 30 (MExN): Minister for Women Resource Development and Horticulture, Salhoutuonuo Kruse said political party offices are vital for effective functioning and growth of the parties, which also symbolises the party’s dedication and services to its people.

Inaugurating the office of National Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) 8th Western Angami A/C at New Market (TCP gate), Kohima this morning, Kruse reminded that the office represents the hopes and aspirations of the citizens who believe in the party’s vision for growth and progress of the state.

Congratulating the 8th Western Angami AC on in its new office, she also urged them to work with more commitment and sincerity to address the challenges faced by the society, and channel its energies into finding solutions that resonates with the needs of the people, a press release received here stated. 

“We must always remember the power we hold as a political party is the ‘trust’ bestowed upon us by the electorate,” asserted Kruse adding that it is a responsibility that demands loyalty and commitment.

She called upon the party members to utilise the office as a hub for dialogue, sharing and innovative thinking and for collaboration that transcends personal interests. “Let us work together to bridge divides, address grievances and forge ahead with a common purpose for the upliftment of our society and the realisation of our party’s visions and commitment” stated Kruse.

NDPP Kohima Region, President, Prasielie Pienyü congratulating the Western Angami AC called for unity and more understanding among the party leader and members to face the challenges that are ahead citing ULB elections, delimitation and Lok Sabha election 2024.

While stating that most political parties failed to deliver its promises, he maintained that NDPP is a party which delivers particularly, referring to youth and women empowerment, and gender equality.

Pienyü was of the view that women empowerment has become essential owing to the  absence of women in the decision making bodies in the state for so long, although women has excelled, if not better than the men, in various fields.

Commending the two elected women legislators for showing the way, he was optimistic that they would deliver with the support and cooperation of the party members.

Earlier, NDPP 8th Western Angami A/C delivered the presidential address and the new office was dedicated with a prayer offered by Avilie Punyü, Pastor, Bethel Baptist Church.
