DIMAPUR, JULY 22 (MExN): Nagaland Police has launched an online system for submitting complaints regarding stolen vehicles and lost or stolen mobile phones. A press release from the Nagaland Police informed that the initiative addresses the issue of thefts driven by the resale value of such items, with instances of unsuspecting buyers purchasing stolen goods. To combat this, a database will be established, allowing the public to check the status of second-hand items before purchase, thus deterring theft. The public are encouraged to use the system to report stolen vehicles and lost or stolen mobile phones, in addition to filing physical complaints at police stations, which are necessary for insurance claims.
