Dimapur, AUGUST 5 (MExN): Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today expressed his pain over the sudden demise of OSD (PHQ) Lilongse Sangtam, NPS, this afternoon after a brief illness at Civil Hospital, Kohima.
A condolence message received here from the Additional Chief Secretary to the CM, Lalthara, said that late Lilongse Sangtam, who started his career as Deputy Superintendent of Police in 1986, served the department in different capacities, lastly as OSD (PHQ) in the rank of Superintendent of Police.
Lalthara said that the death of Sangtam is not only a great loss to the Nagaland Police Service Association and the Police Department but also to the Sangtam community as a whole. His death is not only a loss to the NPS Association and the Department, but to the Sangtam community as a whole. “In his death, the NPS Association and the Police Department have lost a good officer.”
The condolence further said that the Minister, Rio conveys his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and prays for the departed soul to rest in peace.
