Phek, May 31 (MExN): The Enhulumi (Yoseba/Pfutsemi) Students Union [E(Y/P)SU] today highlighted that Chizami range is being hit by frequent network breakdowns affecting the student community the most.
The Union drawing the attention of the concerned authority to the problem stated that the network connection in Chizami area has become “so erratic” and they face frequent internet network failures.
“This is causing great inconveniences to our students’ community especially whose online classes and exam are going on. Not only are the students finding difficulties during their class hours but they are also unable to download their materials from the internet,” said the Union in a press release issued by its President, Wekutsho Lohe and General Secretary Eyiekhrote Vero.
They mentioned that this is to draw the attention of network providers namely, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio, which are serving as network providers in the area. The network connection has become extremely poor in the recent months thereby the two network providers are asked to address this issue at the earliest possible time.
Further, the Power Department is also requested to provide stable power supply in the Chizami area for students to take their online classes and write their exams properly without facing power problems.
The concerned authorities have been requested to look into the matter urgently and take necessary steps to ensure regular power supply and better internet connectivity especially during this pandemic.
