The snapping of 66kV Tuensang-Kiphire Transmission line on December 9 has resulted in total disruption of power supply to Kiphire, Phek and Likimro HEP.
Kiphire, December 9 (MExN): Power supply to Kiphire, Phek and Likimro Hydro Electric Project (HEP) were totally disrupted on December 9 after snapping of the 66kV Tuensang-Kiphire Transmission line.
The power line was snapped near Chingmelen village under Sotokur sub-division at around 11:09 AM, informed a press release from Sub Divisional Officer, Transmission Sub-Division, Kiphire.
The Department is making all efforts to restore the said transmission line at the earliest but due to the challenging topography, restoration may stretch for few days, it added.
Accordingly, the department requested all concerned to bear with the inconvenience caused.
