Mokokchung, October 1 (MExN): A high tension tower between Naginimora and Tizit was damaged on September 29 resulting in the disruption of power supply to Mon district. SDO (Trans) Mokokchung Transmission Division issued a press release informing that the department is making all efforts to restore power supply at the earliest. Affected consumers have been requested to bear with the inconvenience. The tower was reportedly damaged when “a tree chopped by some person from Oting village fell on the line.” In this regard, the division has appealed to the public to inform the department before cutting down trees near the transmission lines.
