Power supply to Zunheboto district disrupted

Zunheboto, February 6 (MExN): Power supply to Zunheboto district has been disrupted after a falling tree snapped a conductor along 66KV Mokokchung-Zunheboto Transmission line at Naghuto village on February 6.

In a press release on Saturday, the Assistant Engineer, Mokokchung Transmission Division, informed that the department is making all efforts to restore power supply at the earliest. “Affected consumers are requested to kindly bear with the inconvenience,” the official stated, while adding that presently, Zunheboto district is being fed from 33Kv Akuluto Line until restoration is completed.

The department meanwhile informed that a tree chopped by some persons fell on the line thereby causing it to snap. As such, it appealed all concerned to inform the Department before cutting down trees near the transmission lines.
