Dimapur, March 8 (MExN): The Women's Development Cell of Pranabananda Women's College organised a programme on International Women's Day on March 8 under the theme ‘Women in Leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 World.’
According to a press release from the college, college Vice-Principal Narola Ao was felicitated for embodying the essence of ‘Women in Leadership’ and inspiring generations of young women. She was also felicitated by the Royal Global University, Guwahati for rendering her tireless services and for being an example of a true leader, the release stated.
The Women’s Development Cell has also felicitated the taekwondo team of the college and the alumuni present.
Principal Dr Santosh Kumar stressed on the importance of women empowerment in order for the world to become a better place. After the formal programme, the NSS volunteers of Pranabananda Women's College, with the coordinator Ulla Fernadez distributed hampers to women traffic police personnel at different locations in Dimapur.
